Government Gateway Changes - Act now!
The Government Gateway is a secure online account where you can register and access government online services. Sage 50 Accounts integrates with the gateway so you can submit your VAT Returns, EC Sales Lists and other information online.
HMRC is creating a new Gateway on 14 February 2018
Sage 50 Accounts v24 is compliant with the new HMRC Gateway service, therefore if you use this version your software is already compliant. However, if you use Sage 50 Accounts V23 or below and you want to continue to submit information to HMRC electronically, you must update your software.

What happens if you decide not to Upgrade?
If you decide to stay on your older version of Sage 50 Accounts, when the old Gateway closes you won't be able to automatically submit your returns, however, you can still submit returns manually through the HMRC website.
